Alex Damaliphetsa is a Trustee Board Member at Kawjo Foundation, where he supports the management team by providing strategic policy direction. With extensive experience in rural and community development, Alex is a skilled project manager, staff developer, and expert in capacity building at the managerial, technical, and grassroots levels. His work focuses on climate change, biodiversity conservation, and creating sustainable impacts across diverse sectors.
He is highly experienced in working with rural communities and stakeholders on environmental and natural resource management, agriculture, food security, and business development. Alex has a strong track record of driving results and sustainability in these areas
Alex holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science, a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, and a Diploma in Agriculture from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. He has also attended specialized training, including the USAID Africa Regional Course in Environmental Assessment and Environmentally Sound Design (2006) and a course on Renewable Energy Technologies and Solar Photovoltaics in Malawi (2003).
