Timothy Henry Tchereni

Timothy Henry Tchereni is an experienced Research Programs Manager at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) with over 10 years of expertise in program planning, coordination, management, monitoring, and evaluation. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from the University of Malawi and a Post Graduate Certificate in Management Consulting Essentials from the Institute of Consulting in the UK. Currently pursuing an MBA, Timothy has developed a strong background in research design, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

At CHAI, he leads research activities, designing studies, overseeing data collection, analysis, and dissemination, while managing budgets and research staff. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership, particularly in M&E, having previously led various initiatives, such as the Elimination of Mother to Child Transmission (eMTCT) project and the WHO/DFTAD funded PRIME study.

Timothy is a published author, contributing to numerous research papers on HIV, maternal health, and cervical cancer screening. His technical expertise, combined with his capacity-building efforts for partners, government stakeholders, and community structures, has contributed to the success of various health programs. Outside of his professional roles, he serves as a board director for several organizations, showcasing his commitment to community service and leadership.
