Our team is growing which strengthens our organizational capacity to deliver on our strategic goal of promoting food security and sustainable livelihoods by providing training in Integrated Aquaculture Agriculture (IAA) for youth and women.
Oscar joined us in April as a finance intern. He holds a Bachelor degree in Applied Accounting, Auditing, and Information Systems (BAAAIS) from Malawi College of Accountancy. He is excited to be with Kawjo Foundation for one year, supporting the finance team, with various accounting tasks.
Kawjo Foundation has also welcomed two World University Service Canada volunteers, Marieve and Danielle. Marieve joined Kawjo in March and advises our project officers on monitoring and evaluation. Marieve brings tremendous skills and expertise in data-informed planning and management to help Kawjo report on its impact in Malawi.
Danielle joined Kawjo in April as a Communication and Engagement Advisor. Danielle is working with staff to raise the profile of Kawjo locally, nationally, and internationally through diverse communication channels and engagement with communities and stakeholders. Her focus is to build relationships through advocacy, storytelling, and imagery to support Kawjo transform the lives of Malawians through economic empowerment.
